About

I am an individual therapist who works with adults (18 and over) and believes in the definition of recovery as “a process of change through which people improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential”. -SAMHSA.gov

I specialize in early and long-term recovery from substance use, co-occurring disorders, mood disorders and anxiety.

I am well versed in issues associated with Adult Children of Alcoholics/Dysfunctional Families (ACOA), codependency, family of origin, grief & loss, chronic illness, career development, identity crises and significant life transitions.

I offer counseling to family members whose loved ones are struggling with substance use and/or a mental health condition.

My approach is trauma-informed and strength-based utilizing psychodynamic, stages of change and 12 step principles. I incorporate mindfulness, DBT and other coping skills where indicated.

I believe in the power of psychoeducation and advocacy for my clients, their families and the community. I believe in the importance of being a part of the recovery community and advocating for those suffering from the disease and their family members.

  • I have a master’s degree in clinical counseling and psychology from Chestnut Hill College and a state of Pennsylvania license to practice as a professional counselor.
